I loved this first installment to the Lock and Key Series. The plot line is different and engaging. The character developement is good and the pace is fast and page turning. Emma Lia is a con artist using her skills to steal from Tristan’s casino with her brother Adam. He watches them stealing from him for six months before he makes his move. He wants Emma Lia and he is willing to use her debt to him to have her. There are some truly upsetting things that Tristan does in the beginning that I am sure many readers will find uncomfortable and may not like the book because of them, so be warned he does not come across as a nice man, at all. Just just like Emma Lia I am intrigued and curios about him and why he is the way he is. I fell like we have only touched the top layer of Tristan and I can’t wait for the next installment so dig a little deeper into each of these characters and learn why each of them embrace this deal.
If you don’t mind a bit of dark with your romance you should really enjoy this one, making it worthy of your one click. I know it was worth mine.
Ooh boy. Tristan is a man you love to hate. He comes off as a domineering ass that always gets what he wants. Of course that's a Dom for you, but he takes it to another level. However, just reading how he bends for Emma Lia when he never has for anyone before. I can't wait to continue reading because I have a feeling he's going to be the one to break in the end.
This is my first book by Rebel Rose but it won't be my last. Her Debt is about a woman that's born in the family of gamblers that cheat and steal the system. Emma Lia finds herself having fun and winning at the same time, that is until she's caught by Tristan himself. She has taken him for well over a hundred grand and he gives her two options, one is jail and the second is be his submissive and work off the debt. Tristan wants her and he will stop at nothing to have her. Emma Lia agrees because she doesn't want to go to jail but she has no clue what she's in for or how twisted Tristan can really be.
